Introduction to Nirmal Overhead Cranes

Types of Overhead Cranes:

  1. Single Girder Crane: A crane with one main horizontal beam (girder) supported by end trucks. It’s cost-effective and suitable for lighter loads and lower duty cycles.
  2. Double Girder Crane: This crane has two parallel girders for increased lifting capacity and stability. It’s ideal for heavier loads and higher duty cycles.
  3. Gantry Crane: Similar to an overhead crane, but it runs on tracks at ground level. Gantry cranes are used when overhead space is limited.
  4. Jib Crane: This crane has a horizontal arm (jib) that pivots around a vertical column, providing lifting and rotation capabilities in a confined area.
  5. Monorail Crane: It moves along a single track, often used for assembly lines or transporting materials within a limited area.
